Sacrosanct truth of academic plagiarism
A letter from Giovanni Costa, Trieste
Dear JUST Response,
Re: Conjugating plagiarism: io plagio, tu plagi ... (JUST Response, January 3 2007)
I think you are telling the sacrosanct truth. The whole University system in Italy, and not only in Italy, doesn't work. There is plagiarism in abundance, there is misrecognition of merit, and if you write something which deviates from official doctrine you are not recognized, even if what you write is good and right.
I have put the web site of your magazine among my favourites and I will study it attentively.
I repeat: what you are saying is absolutely true.
